How to submit an alternate submission in the 360 Public Portal

An alternative submission is a proposal that may be a better option than the conforming submission. The conforming submission must be lodged before alternative submissions. 
At the time of creation, the alternative submission is a clone of the conforming submission with all the available details other than price

Step-by-step guide

To respond to an alternate submission, the conforming submission must be submitted first.

To respond to a conforming submission: 

  1. Sign-in to https://360providers.apetsoftware.com.au/
  2. Find the request and start responding - see article: How to find a request (e.g. for tender) in the 360 public portal
    Once you've answered all the questions:
  3. Click Final Step tab
  4. Click Submit and Lock Responses
  5. Click Submit

At this point, you should see a green tick on the Final Step page confirming that your response is submitted.

To submit an alternate submission:

  1. Click Request Info tab
  2. Click Create Alternate Submission
  3. Click Open Alternate Submission 1 to start responding

At this point, the alternate submission will be editable as either:

  • A Departure where only a description of the alternative is required; or
  • A fully editable copy of the conforming submission.

To submit your alternate submission:

  • Departures:
    1. Click the Departure tab
    2. Enter and/or upload details
    3. Click Next
  • For Integrated (fully editable copies):
    1. Alter any/all responses for your alternate submission
  • Click Final Step tab
  • Click Submit and Lock Responses
  • Click Submit

At this point, you should see a green tick on the Final Step page confirming that your alternate submission is submitted.


Please note: 

  • The conforming submission must be submitted before alternative submission(s) are submitted and each response is submitted separately.
  • If the conforming submission is re-opened it will automatically re-open any submitted alternative submissions and therefore the respondent MUST submit their conforming submission and then their alternative submission(s) again
