What are the key terms in 360? (definitions/lexicon)

 

Every software product has its own language - key words that have special meanings.

360's terms and definitions are found in the list below.

A message from the Request Manager to all Providers (or a sub-set) with additional information about a Request

Association

A relationship managed by a Buyer between the Buyer’s Account a Provider’s Account

ATM

Approach To Market - see Request (e.g. for tender)

Award Approver

A User who can check that a Request is ready for release and grant the Job Manager the rights to publish the Request

Boss

A User with full access rights for a Buyers include manage the Buyer's security and configuration settings within 360

Buyer

An organisation that publishes requests (e.g. for tender)

Category (definition 1)

A classification that is used for subscription notices:

  1. Type of request (e.g. RFT)

  2. A price bracket for the likely contract (e.g. $0 to $150,000)

  3. A product or service (e.g. Software Development)

  4. A trade of skill (e.g. Carpenter)

  5. A location of region (e.g. Canberra)

Category (definition 2)

A Section within a Category-based Request that is evaluated separately from other Category Sections.

Category Sections are used to establish Panels of Associated Providers within Categories (e.g. a Panel of carpenters)

Category-based Request

A Request that designed to evaluate businesses within separate categories of supply (such as “Plumbing”, “Carpentry”, etc.) Sections.

Clarification

A request for more information from an Evaluator to a Respondent

Consensus Evaluator

An Evaluator who can combine the assessments of all other evaluators into a final assessment

Contractor

An organisation (provider) that has a contract with your organisation (buyer)

A User that can be selected by request managers to approve letters to unsuccessful respondents explaining why they were unsuccessful

A Hidden Questionnaire Item that is made visible, based on the Response to a Trigger Question

A Hidden Section that is made visible based on the Response to a Trigger Question

Direct Message

A private message sent between the Request Manager and a Participant

A message sent from a Provider to the Request Manager

A User who can evaluate Responses to a Request

A Section that is hidden to Providers but visible to Evaluators

A Request that has a Leading Part and at least one Subordinate Part

Internal Portal

The website (https://internal.sl360.au/) in which Requests are configured and Responses assessed

Leading Part

The first Sections within a Category-based Request that are used to evaluate the criteria that apply to all Child Sections.

The first Request within a Hierarchical Request that is used to evaluate the criteria that apply to all Subordinate Request.

A Questionnaire Item in a Request that usually needs a Response before a Provider can Submit their tender/quote/etc.

Questionnaire

The collection of questions and instructions that Respondents use to prepare their Submission and Evaluators use to evaluate the Responses

Ranking

The comparison of one Submission against others.  For example, the Submission with the lowest price is ranked first for price ranking, and the one with best value for money is ranked first for VFM ranking.

Relative Weight

A value that ranks the importance of a Weighted Section or a Weighted Question against others

Release Approver

A User who can check that a Request is ready for release and grant the Job Manager the rights to publish the Request
